Our Fall Wedding

My dream bouquet -- the perfect mix of dark & dramatic and soft & feminine

If you've been following me on social media, you may know by now that we got married this past October. Annnd I finally sat down and sorted through my favorite wedding details to share with you all!

When it came to planning the wedding, the process was definitely a lot of work. I think it's worth noting that we decided to do it all without a planner or day-of coordinator, so there were times when I felt overwhelmed. But the flip side of that is, I'm incredibly proud of how everything came together (and very grateful that my parents and sister helped so much along the way).

I had an overall vision of how I wanted everything to look (knowing also what I didn't want -- a wedding that looked exactly like all the ones I've been seeing on social media lately) and relied heavily on Pinterest (like most modern brides do) to bring my vision to life.

Despite all of the work, planning was also full of fun memories -- Matt and I going cupcake tasting (we opted for a cupcake tower instead of a traditional cake), wedding dress shopping with my parents and sister (I ended up falling hard for the first one I tried on), creating a Spotify playlist together to share with our DJ -- the list goes on and on.

Here are some of my favorite details from the big day!

After a long search, I found the perfect rose gold Badgley Mischka shoes for the big day

The whole set-up -- bouquet, shoes, garter, and jewelry

My getting ready suite, set up in my parents' backyard for an extra dreamy effect

Literally the dress of my dreams -- I kept it a secret from almost everyone until the big day

The Spanish style steps at our reception venue made for one of my favorite spots for photos

Our sweetheart table, which was also went beyond anything I could have imagined thanks to our amazing florist

Beautiful centerpieces to match my bouquet

Our personal cake, topped with a wedding topper I found on Etsy
