Not Your Mother's

Today we're talking hair products! I've mentioned one of my favorite hair products, Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray, {here} before. So getting the chance to work with the brand and trying other products from them was so exciting to me. And now these two have officially been added to my list of favorite hair products. I present.. Clean Freak Dry Shampoo and Kinky Moves Curl-Defining Cream.
I've heard about dry shampoo for quite a while and, believe it or not, hadn't tried it until now. It's basically meant to be sprayed right onto your roots for those days when you don't exactly have time to wash and style your hair. This isn't something I use on a regular basis, but it's so perfect to have on hand for those hectic days when I feel like my hair just needs a boost. According to the packaging, it "absorbs excess oils," and "cleans without water" and also has a "lite matte finish" .. and it's all true! I'd really recommend having this product around because we all have those days when we need a quick boost.
I'm always on the lookout for a good curl defining product, because my natural hair is slightly wavy but definitely needs some help {it straightens out the second I apply any heat to it}. The Kinky Moves cream smells SO good {it's infused with jasmine and grape seed} and really does the job, which is saying a lot because I have such thick hair. I just put some right in my palms and distribute it through my hair while it's still damp. It gives my waves more definition and makes it possible for me to go au natural more often. I do think it'll look better air-dryed, at least on my hair, so I'll probably make much more use of it in the summer when I'm looking for a relaxed and beachy look.

What I really love about this brand is that it never really feels like you have product in your hair. None of the three products I've used have ever gotten crunchy or heavy, which is a big plus for me because I tend to hate having too much stuff in my hair. I even avoid hair spray when I can! Visit NYM {here} to see a complete list of their products and to find out how to get your hands on them yourself!
