Sue Wong Preview19.3.12
Last week, I was lucky enough to receive an invitation to Sue Wong's Fall 2012 "Autumn Sonata" preview luncheon, held over the weekend during Fashion Week LA. The concept was a virtual fashion show that took place in the Sue Wong atelier, and was set up in a couple of different rooms through which models would walk, stop, and pose. The collection was incredibly beautiful -- romantic, 1920s inspired flapper-esque, LOTS of intricate beading, feathers, tulle, and pretty headpieces. There were lots of darker Gothic shades, but also a group of platinum dresses, turquoise, and earthy tones as well. Complete with champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, and French music playing subtly in the backdrop, it almost felt as though one was transported back in time. Overall, the collection was glamorous and sophisticated. Here are my photos from the event and some of my favorite pieces.
Pretty little gift bags that included a Sue Wong lace scarf and Lollia hand cream
Big thank you to all the wonderful people at Sue Wong for having me! Tomorrow I'll be posting part two, which will be all about what I wore. Hope you are all having a wonderful Monday!
PS -- I reached 200 followers over the weekend (!!!) and I can't thank you all enough for your continued support. xo
